Arrival times then use the speed your boat actually makes in the expected wind strength at the real wind angle, instead of one flat figure. On top of that you get the no-go warning and a ready beating or gybing plan.

Common .pol and .csv tables in TWA×TWS layout: wind speed across the header row, wind angle down the first column, boat speed in knots in the cells. Without a file of your own, load the cruising-yacht preset or derive the polar from your cruising speed.

An NMEA gateway that puts the instrument data on the onboard Wi-Fi, and an iPhone on that same network. NMEA 0183, Signal K and NMEA 2000 are supported. The connection stays local — no instrument data leaves the device.

The feature is marked as beta and is being switched on gradually, so not for everyone at once. It also needs app version 1.7.0 or later.
